Research : 1950's Music Culture

The 1950's was an outgoing year for music where combined struggle of post war, and fighting against racial discrimination created an eventful scene musically as well as socially. this would embark a musical journey that would spark the flame for music to come . the beautiful sounds from African-American musical styles such as gospeljazzboogie woogie, and rhythm and blues inspired white american musicians to have the courage to stand against society boundaries and unite with African Americans , collaborating musical ideas together.

The idea of moving forward and create change was a major influence in music which would also help alter the mindset of the rock and roll generation. major influences were Elvis Presley and chuck berry, these two inspired many through television and radio which would continue and stand the test of time. Elvis Presley was a pioneer for change through his music where he was the first to work with an African American , uniting together disregarding race but instead focusing on musical talent.
